That is a great experiment, and what an interesting surprise!
I think you need to do a test strip on the yellow linen, and see how well it holds the color in the sun. cover half the colored portion of linen with a piece of cardboard, and leave the other half open to view. Stick it in the window for a few days or longer, and see what changes happen in the sun. More for my curiosity as to how long it would last.
But man, that is interesting with the carrot tops. I want to try it for a perma-yellow ruff or something fun.
